I'm Desperate For Love!
Thursday, March 31, 2011
why are there still organisation using telemarketing as marketing tool? Don't you think the method is too old and no longer effective? It showing you are desperate to sell your product and services which gives people a bad impression towards the organisation. Can any stakeholders that can exercise significant influence to scrap this old method or tool? It's annoying and irritating..

Food for Thought
I found something interested from the net. http://www.femail.com.au/how-to-win-competitions-and-free-stuff.htm

The addiction begins slowly, you see, and before you know it, takes hold.
For me it all started in university. I was broke, staring at my dismal wardrobe and wondering how to earn some additional income. I already worked two part-time jobs. Then it dawned on me. There were competitions on the Internet, radio, TV, in magazines and supermarket aisles... most places, really. Every day of the week, ordinary lucky schmucks out there were winning cars, holidays and cash. I could be a lucky schmuck. I was already a schmuck, so I was halfway there.
As I am also an incurable Intermernetz geek, I concentrated on web competitions and Googled "competitions" and "win". I was dumbfounded by how many promotions sprang up. I entered everything I could when not working or studying. It was fun -- I loved solving puzzles, playing games and writing poems and having the chance to win prizes for my efforts.
The glorious day came. A month or two after I began my prize quest a letter arrived in the post. I had won a $200 Kookai voucher. It had begun.
Looking back, comping has opened up my world to some extraordinary experiences. I have appeared in a screaming competition (when I was on holiday in Sydney -- strangely enough most entrants were out-of- towners), completed a Mission Impossible scavenger hunt and learnt how to do action movie 180 degree turns in a Mini driving course. When people hear about my latest win, they shake their heads and ask how I won. Well, in the interests of purging my soul and confessing my wins, I'll let you in on the secrets to success...
One of the best features of Femail has, for me, always been the gorgeous competitions and giveaways. As every Femail loves her free stuff.
Cheers,
Rebecca Doyle
How to Win Competitions and Free Stuff
CONFESSIONS OF A COMPETITION WINNER
My name is Rebecca and I'm a 29-year-old comper (person addicted to the sight, sound and smell of competitions). In recent years, I have won thousands of dollars in cash and prizes, including trips to Tokyo Disneyland and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, two DVD box sets of "Sex and the City" (in separate competitions -- what can I say? I really did get "Carried" away), a $1000 Westfield shopping spree and a year's supply of toilet paper! The addiction begins slowly, you see, and before you know it, takes hold.

1. MAKE FRIENDS WITH "25 WORDS OR LESS"
There are two main types of competitions -- those won by skill and those drawn at random. By far the majority of my wins have been from competitions requiring skill, usually "25 words or less" entries. You know the ones: "Explain why you would like to win in 25 words or less" or "Tell us your funniest childhood memory in 25 words or less". So many people are intimidated by this type of entry, thinking it's too hard and they won't be able to think of anything original. Well, they're also the reasons why you should enter. Legions of other potential entrants will be scared off and you'll have a better shot at the prize.2. FUNNY AND PUNNY
You may have noticed my awful tendency to pun at the slightest provocation. It's an occupational hazard for compers -- we look for puns to make on the product or brand and weave them into a witty little ditty or one-liner. The judges want to see an original poem, slogan or answer that represents their company in a positive light. They are looking for a happy, fun winner. Give them this and they'll be your bestest friend.3. THINK SMALL, ACT TALL
Seek out pint-sized competitions run by small businesses down the road trying to get off the ground, tiny newspapers and obscure web sites. Their prizes can be surprisingly tasty and how many other entrants do you think they'll have? A handful? A dozen? You're in with a sporting chance. Alternatively, some competitions offer a cubic truckload of small prizes (ever seen promotions where you can win one of 1000 movie tickets?). It's like taking candy from a baby, or rather, movies from a kind corporate benefactor.4. IT'S DE JA VU ALL OVER AGAIN
Quickly scan the terms and conditions to discover how many entries will be accepted per person. It may be only once, or (oh, happy days!) once per day or week, or even (oh, joy and rapture!!) unlimited. Now get cracking and enter like it's going out of style.5. FREEBIES AND OFFERS AND SAMPLES, OH MY
Close cousins to competitions, there are plenty of freebies on offer. Think samples of new coffee varieties, tins of cat food, perfume, cosmetics and feminine hygiene products. Good things come in small packages, and in this case in the mail and without requiring you to win a thing. You can even create your own freebies -- write to the potato chip, soft drink or any other company of your choosing, entertain them with a lively letter making a suggestion for a new product or critiquing an existing one and wait for the sweet, sweet goodies to roll in.6. SHAME SHELF
Some compers will buy 60 packets of dehydated beetroot in the name of winning an iPod or other juicy prize. The trouble is, they are then left with mountains of very un-juicy (and unappealing) beetroot, which they secret away onto their shelf (/cupboard/warehouse) of shame where they stick any excess items bought in an over-zealous competition campaign. If you're paying out more money than you're likely to win, it's gambling, not entering competitions. Avoid the shame shelf and only purchase promotional items you would otherwise want or are likely to use. You'll feel better for it in the morning. Trust me.7. PERSEVERE AND PERSEVERE SOME MORE
You don't need a leprechaun's pot of gold, lucky rabbit's foot or repeat mystical chants to be lucky. Winning is all in the maths. The more competitions you enter and the more entries you drop in each entry barrel, the more likely you are to win, but the attraction to entering competitions as a hobby is not just winning glorious prizes, it's the anticipation of winning. It feels like Christmas Eve every day, hoping for gifts tomorrow. Keep on entering and it'll be Christmas in no time. One of the best features of Femail has, for me, always been the gorgeous competitions and giveaways. As every Femail loves her free stuff.
Cheers,
Rebecca Doyle

Life will never easy when you get in to degree especially in accounting and finance field. I hope my efforts pay off. I'm seriously struggling right now in year 3 being a final year student. The passes with credits especially with second honour will determine my scholarship is worth and also my exemptions from the professional body (ACCA). I somehow didn't like accounting when I was in secondary school. I think I've mentioned before. In fact as I grow, I think I can't do much in pure arts, where I can't draw or design. So this is the only way that I can go. As time passed, I in love with accounting not only that but tax and audit. I really hope I can go trough all these obstacles and challenges that I have in this final year. God please help me by strengthen me with Your power.

I sometimes feel tired in life..Just don't know how to explain. It's like how you feel everytime when you have ups and downs. Like that larh.. How to gain happiness at all times not feeling tired of things in the world? I think Matthew chapter 5 from the bible speaks very well on this. But how to apply it into your life. Have to really seek God for help and strength to sustain.. Life is not easy. To follow Christ, there is costs to pay. Carry the cross!

There is something interesting to discuss to talk to share about. Yes you didn't see wrongly. It's about Taxation. There are two things that each and everyone of us here (human) that cannot skip. First is death and second one is tax. Not only to mention income tax that working adults are paying but the younger ones who have not started working or the income being charged you are still paying tax. Just can't avoid however you try. Let's look at few examples, you go to McD, Kim Gary, KFC, liquor/beer(alcohol); all these are not free from tax. You have to pay something call indirect tax like duty, service tax and etc. All these are payable to Royal Custom still you paying to the government. Just like income tax you just paying your tax to Inland Revenue Board no stranger to all of you still government. Saw the point? No matter what tax you are talking about you still can't avoid. Even now you buy house and sell within a year, you will be taxed at 30% where Real Property Gain Tax is applicable which was re-imposed since 2010. I'm not saying anything bad or good bout tax. It's just a fact of life that each and everyone of us cannot avoid from paying tax. At the same time, life. We cannot escape from death isn't it? How do we face this situation? I think we have to accept it as this world is not for us where we are just passing by. What can we do now is to appreciate every moment you have with others and yourself.

LOLshow...not laugh out loud but Life On Line!
Recently, I found out that my mom started listening to FLY.Fm. Can you imagine an old Chinese woman listening to FLY.Fm an English radio channel rather than those Chinese channel like MY.Fm or One.Fm and etc. I think she wants to be young!hahahaha.. It was her customer helped her to tune in to FLY.Fm. Now my turn, recently, I found this LOLshow hosted by John Lim, David Lian, David Wang, Niki Cheong.
It wasn't that bad after all. Frankly speaking I have no radio in my car and I don't want to touch the old junk radio that my mom own where she listening FLY.fm to. So the only way I can connect to radio is through online. In fact, I found this LOLshow. The episode 11 talks about social networking in cyber world like twitter. I discovered something new called google wave or buzz..hahaha..me noob..Information very sufficient and quite funny.hahahaha...
I would like to take this opportunity to request that I would like to stand this chance to win LOLshow Christmas Giveaway which is....***drum roll***drum roll*** it's Blackberry Curve 3G! What so sweeet to talk about or mention to this Blackberry? I had a dinner organized by my pastor and one of the dessert was 'fiber fruit' which is dry blackberry. And I would like to mention bout this real Blackberry Curve 3G, it basically as sweet as the 'blackberry' from Kirkland, United States.hahahaha..hope this would be my best Christmas gift for the year 2010!!
Come on...tune in to LOLshow http://zineradio.com/lolshow/
Blessed Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!!see ya!~

this two girls are my friend from my Christian Fellowship in college.well I don't really attend CF due to the packed schedule that I have.well both of them are pretty!hahaha..too bad they are not my girlfriend.
well this picture was taken during the Sports Day an event organised by Fayette House (ADP Council) under SEGi College Subang Jaya. Being a president from Maths Club, I was called to open a stall selling food and water. In fact, we only sold mineral water due to the event been sponsored by 7-up revive so we can't sell 100plus. Basically there will be profit of RM90+ by selling off all the mineral water; however, we sold food as well (we made a loss for food) so we have to use the profit to cover the loss from the food.urghh..next time no more selling food.oh ya..my club recently organized an event "Maths Quiz". It was a 3 days event which was pretty successfully ran. But due to some technical error here and there, we received complains regarding the judges. Anyway, it was a good one from my committee who made this event a success.kudos!

pretty heh?no..she not the one that you people are thinking about. just a random post random picture to fulfill SOMEONE who asked me to update my blog (you know who you are =p).okay! let me tell you who is she..her name is cheong poh yee..my BFF!or so call god sister since same surname. I got to know her when I was in my first day of class in diploma. She was the one who approached me and called me "ivan"... She knows me because she my TARC friend's friend. What a small world right? both of us went trough a lot of things in terms of studies la..well glad to have her to be my friend. I think in college till today both of us are so called the closest one compare to other friends of mine in college XD

Mother:...
Me: But NZ are for old or pensioned people go and enjoy one. Actually hor..there got nice kambing biri biri (sheep) very nice one and even their cow nicer than this country one white body with black spot unlike lembu here all pariah! But then this place not for young people like me. Plus I dont hear any shortage or need of accountants there..

had an EPIC journey last night to KL look-out point. why? 3hours massive jam from Cheras all the way to Ampang Point. Don't know what caused the jam cause there was nothing front there. My buddies stopped at the petrol station and had roti ikan bilis by gardenia. You know what? After get out from petrol station no jam at all. it seems like the roti ikan bilis got spell or something. hahaha.. wanted to give up and turn back, at the end we made it. Lesson learned was "perseverance is everything, keep going"

In a recent Accenture survey, 89% of executives agreed that innovation is as important as cost management for high performance. But while many companies are investing more in innovation, only a few have rigorous approach for managing the process. As a result, even innovative companies often fails to realize the benefits that their new ideas could produce.

Congratulations to myself on my success in obtaining the scholarship award from The Star. In conjunction of the offer, I'm invited to present myself at Eastin Hotel for the presentation of awards ceremony. Well, I hope I've done well in my previous assignments and also to do well in my coming final examinations on January 2011. To be scholar is not easy! Especially in this current program that I currently pursue because it's very competitive and tough. Is a blessing that given by God that I have this chance to be scholarship student where I don't need to pay single cent for my tuition fees except external exam fees. Since I can be in this position, why can't I finish my "race" in my academic with flying colours with His strength?

I always have the thought of leaving my own country because of the standards. However, there are many told me not to and stay where you are.
Edmund Blurke said "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that GOOD MEN do nothing" also equivalent to darkness is the absence of light.
I wonder how can one person change the nation and even the word? How a person could really influence others? Most people are living with the complacency attitute "tidak apa" which contributed by fears and ignorance attitudes as well.
This world is a sinful world where evil exist. How to make the difference? How to change the nation, how to change the world? How to fight against corruption, racism, crimes and many other issues?
In order to have a country with good standards and justice; a country which is "clean", we need to PRAY, ACT and LEAD!
Can you, you ,you and you and even myself change the nation and the world? Help yourself and myself and lead the next generation as well for a better nation.

Relevant Costing
important key to remember:
Future
Incremental
Cash-flow
In order to determine the cost to be relevant, these 3 keys must be fulfilled. If one not fulfilled, it will not be considered as relevant cost. Therefore no point to include as cost; as it is irrelevant cost.
Moreover, generally fixed cost would consider as irrelevant unless there is additional fixed cost. Whereas opportunity cost no matter what it is..the cost would be relevant.

About a week ago, I lodge a complain to MBSA regarding the road condition in Taman Sri Muda. The road is not stable as in not smooth ( quite bumpy) and some even with holes. This road maintenance should be done regularly or to check the road condition regularly and not for once a year or even once in two years thing. We as tax payer through income tax, assessment and quit rent; therefore, we have right to complain and ask for immediate action to be taken.
so this was what they replied:
Untuk makluman lokasi aduan telah dimasukkan dalam tender MARRIS.Kerja-kerja dijangka akan bermula hujung bulan Ogos 2010. Laporan disediakan oleh Norhafizah 55105133 ext 343
See end of the month whether this happened or not. hahaha

Friend of Mine
I see my friend You need a friend To care for you
And be there for you Till you're on your feet againTo be your friend through thick and thin
To understand lend a helping hand
That's the least that I can do for you
Now anytime you've got a problem
I'll be there to help you solve 'em You know oh
When you've got a friend by your side
You're not alone And you know that
When you're feelin' brokenhearted
I'll be there to get you started again my friend
You know I care so I'll be there
Now until the end of time
Cause you're a friend Friend of mine
A friend in need, a friend indeed
I'll be the one you depend upon
You can always count on me
And win or lose I'll stick by you
I'll try my best put me to the test
And I'll prove the rest is true for you
Now anytime you've got a problem
I'll be there to help you solve 'em You know oh
When you've got a friend by your side
You're not alone And you know that
When you're feelin' brokenhearted
I'll be there to get you started again my friend
You know I care so I'll be there

Cinta Arjuna
Ku peluk indah manisnya cinta
Semuanya terasa indah
Bagai di alam cerita cinta
Hadir bahagia selama-lama
Katamu kekasih yang sedang kita alami
Takkan kekal 'tuk selamanya
Mengapa kekasih
Tiada kau percaya
Kebenaran cerita kita
Bagaimanakah lagi untuk aku buktikan
Selamilah pada kejujuranku
Jadikan ku arjuna, arjuna di hatimu
Percayalah oh puteri
Katamu kekasih yang sedang kita alami
Takkan kekal 'tuk selamanya
Mengapa kekasih
